# 5: The Hydrogen Atom

• 5.1: The Bohr Model
Back in the early days of quantum mechanics, Bohr constructed a model of the hydrogen atom that worked surprisingly well considering its simplicity. We'll take a moment to have a look at this model before moving on to the real deal.
• 5.2: Applying 3D Quantum Theory to Hydrogen
Armed with  quantum theory in three dimensions in spherical coordinates, we build on the successes of the inspired-but-clearly-flawed model of Bohr.
