    University Physics is a three-volume collection that meets the scope and sequence requirements for two- and three-semester calculus-based physics courses. University Physics I introduces the foundations of classical physics, focusing on motion, forces, energy, and the behavior of matter and waves. Beginning with measurement, units, and vectors, the text develops the tools needed to describe motion in one, two, and three dimensions, and to apply Newton’s laws to real-world systems. From there, it explores energy, momentum, and rotation, extending to gravitation, fluids, and elasticity. The course then examines oscillations, waves, and sound—phenomena that connect mechanics to the study of vibrations and resonance in nature and technology. With worked examples, problem sets, and conceptual insights, this text provides the framework for understanding how the physical world operates, forming the essential basis for further study in physics and engineering.
