2: Linear Motion and its Various Forms
( \newcommand{\kernel}{\mathrm{null}\,}\)
Linear motion is one of the simplest forms of motion. Using it as an example, this chapter will introduce new concepts and start building up the required tool set of equations. After giving a general idea of differences between scalars and vectors, we will use two methods to derive the equations of motion and then generalize them with the help of calculus.
